Welcome to the Wee Shop, Corstorphine, home of Störtebäcker, an independent micro-bakery, specialising in German and continental baking. Our emphasis is on traditional production methods, paired with quality ingredients and creativity. We mostly use organic flour and bake everything from scratch at home. Come by and browse, we’re open from 9:30am to 1pm Fridays and Saturdays. If you wish to secure your pretzel or pastry, or a slab of cake, you can place your order

Very friendly staff and fresh products with great variety. Delicious pretzels (especially the one with the salami) and also the sourdough bread.
Great wee shop. Friendly service. Lovely and rather large selection of familiar and more unusual pastries and cakes.
Kerstin is so nice, and an incredible baker! I am an avid pastry tourist and her pastries are as good if not better than some of the best bakeries I have sought out in France and Germany combined. I can easily say Störtebäcker is the best bakery in the UK and a hidden gem of Edinburgh.

Welcome to Bakery Andante, Broughton Street’s new Cafe and award winning artisan bakery. Andante is a musical expression meaning ‘at a slower tempo’, which perfectly describes how we think bread should be made. Our aim is to provide freshly made fantastic products using locally sourced ingredients, where we can, and made from scratch on our premises. Got the sourdough with the great taste award and WOW it was amazing!!!The croissants I got were a bit disappointing, not flakey.
Overall, definitely would come back

The vegan french toast and oat latte were delicious! Also very satisfied with the granola bowl and croissant. Unfortunately the tofu scramble was very dry as I didn’t want to have it with ketchup or brown sauce.
Quality freshly baked bread, pastries and rolls. Always a good selection too.

We love this place. Staff are lovely. Great quality coffee. The cakes are exquisite. Nice to look at, even better to eat. We’d already started eating the cakes so no cake photo. Find out for yourself!
