The food here is delicious. My steak was perfectly cooked and tasty. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good steak bar in Edinburgh!
Outstanding experience at Bar + Block, service was exemplary and the spiral fillet was cooked to perfection and just melted in the mouth. An absolute must for any stake lover visiting Edinburgh.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Excellent food, thoroughly enjoyed the steak sampler. Clean and well maintained facilities. Fair prices too for the food.

 I ate every single bite. For dessert the vegan chocolate mousse was out of this world. I’m sad I only got to eat here one night. Next time will be a definite visit.
Amazing Chateaubriand cooked to perfection, locally sourced food with a vast drinks menu. Many a good whisky! The staff are very knowledgeable about the produce.
Amazing food. Juicy and tender steakes. Lovely mussels. Fantastic service and relaxed atmosphere. Must try!

REVIEWS

We’ve held a couple of events at the NYSP in the past month, and it was great both times. Ewan was really accommodating. He moved tables etc around so we could get everyone in, and stayed open a bit later to fit our schedule.
A quirky cozy restaurant that has 2 sitting times. Good for groups up to approx 25. Food is homely & pleasantly tasty.
Apart from a candle setting a colleagues hair on fire and no real compensation for her I. E. Her meal on the house or a free drink we all had a good night.
