We were looking for a reliable gardener with great customer service and a good finishing touch. After an initial visit to quote, Andy arrived on time and got stuck in… cutting back and trimming a 10 foot hedge and a smaller front garden hedge.

Damhead Nursery was established in 2005 by Sue Gray and is open to both retail and trade customers. We specialise in Hardy plants for Scottish gardens, experience has taught us that our Scottish grown stock grown in locally made compost does very well in our climate. Sue is a trained Landscape Architect who understands the needs of the landscape industry and appreciates the importance of supplying quality stock to all customers. The nursery is situated on the south side of the Edinburgh city bypass and is only six miles from Edinburgh  city centre. Plants are available direct from the nursery, or click and collect from our online catalogue.  We stock an extensive range of competitively priced stock. Our dedicated sales team can offer advice and provide prompt quotations to customers and an in-house garden design and horticultural advice service are available.

I’ve bought lovely plants ,flowers, and fabulous trees from here, because of the quality and choice – and they don’t die but grow when you plant them!
Fabulous. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Good variety of healthy plants. If anything their advertising could be greater. I hardly knew of its existence despite being relatively local.

Don’t let its size fool you, it’s packed with a great variety of perennials, shrubs, trees and herbs. The plants were of a high quality, the staff are knowledgeable and the prices are reasonable.
