Michael's

14 Eyre Pl, Edinburgh EH3 5EP, United Kingdom
What We Offer:

It has been eight years since I opened the doors of Michael Neave. I was 21 years of age, but I had a clear vision. It was a strong believe of how food and customers should be treated and taken care of. At times, I found it difficult to articulate my dreams and plans, and that may have led to a few pots and pans being thrown about the kitchen. The rest, as we say, is history. Years later, here we are again. I was blessed with this gorgeous wee place in which I had a bit of an input into a year or so ago. I didn’t think the time was right, but I do now. A happy and an all-encompassing experience were part of my first restaurant and this time will not be an exception.

Amazing restaurant! The food is fantastic and the staff wonderful, great service! The beef Wellington and wood pigeon are amazing.

Our first visit and can highly recommend, not only for the excellent quality of the food, but the amazing value for money as a set lunch menu, ambiance and service.
It was our first time coming to Michael’s, the waiter guided us what we can eat because we only eat halal and non-alcoholic food.

Nice calamari, tender inside and crispy outside. I enjoyed the grey squid ink mayonnaise. Thought the dish was a little expensive but that might just be because of Edinburgh festival.
Food was so tasty ! Had the chips and steak. Some of the best street food I have had ! Very reasonable too.

Lovely calamari and very nice chargrill steak with an amazing Gremolata. 5 stars +

Food was fantastic. We had the Chef’s tasting menu paired with wine and it won’t be long until its gets the first star as it was top notch.
Having visited the Pompadour before it closed I was so excited to return and try it out with new ownership. It turned out to be just as, if not more amazing!!
Dean Banks and the team are producing fresh, lively and favourable dishes throughout the tasting menu. Appears to showcase the best of Scottish ingredients with occasional twists.
